Manado

Manado lies at the Northern tip of Sulawesi, Indonesia and is situated just three and a half hours flying time east of Singapore.  Located in a bay and surrounded by a dramatic volcanic landscape, Manado is host to some of the finest diving in South East Asia.

Divers will experience everything from the smallest pygmy seahorses and nudibranchs, to eagle rays, orcas and pilot whales.  Manado is an idyllic, tranquil diving destination with an outstanding and celebrated bio-diversity. 

Volcanic and Dramatic 

The dominating volcanic landscape creates a dramatic backdrop to the world class diving available in North Sulawesi.  Conditions are generally calm all year round, and the deep waters afford excellent visibility averaging 25m.  The seas are home to many unusual species, ranging from the prehistoric ‘coelacanth’ fish through to reef shark, green turtles, napoleon wrasse and dugongs.  The majority of sites are easily accessible and they are rarely crowded.  Manado is extremely popular with photographers, who relish the fascinating marine life, excellent conditions and facilities.

Diving in Manado 

There is said to be a greater variety of marine life in the seas off North Sulawesi than anywhere else on the planet and outstanding diving is available year round.  The area is a centre of marine bio diversity and is home to many unusual species, ranging from prehistoric fish like coelacanth through to some recognised household names like reef sharks and the eagle ray.  North Sulawesi’s remote location means that dive sites are rarely crowded and marine life is abundant.
