MY OMAN EXPLORER SAMPLE ITINERARY
'Highlights of the Year' – Mirbat to Sifah or reverse (10 or 11 nights).
This itinerary operates twice a year as the boat transfers from one region to the other and vice versa.
Dates are usually end of March/early April for Mirbat to Sifah (heading north) and end of November/early December for Sifah to Mirbat (returning south).
The transfer trip of the Oman Explorer offers guests on board a complete insight into the diversity of the Sultanate of Oman and truly showcases the highlights of diving in Oman.
Heading from the north to south (November) discover the fabulous dive sites around the Daymaniyat Islands, the Al Munassir Wreck and Fahal Islands over the first few days. Following the coast, the itinerary includes time at Masirah Island and ends with a wonderful diving experience amongst the seldom visited Hallaniyat Islands. Here there’s a chance of seeing huge pods of dolphin and humpback whales from the boat.
Underwater you will encounter leopard shark, several species of rays, cuttlefish, turtles, morays and plenty of nudibranch and smaller fish amongst the coral reefs. In addition, there are some beautiful old wrecks to discover, home to massive schools of fish that make Oman a special diving destination. This trip is reversed as the boat heads north again in March.
