El Gouna is situated just a short drive north from Hurghada and offers easy access to the best of the Northern Red Sea and over 40 dive sites. Boat diving is the norm here, with some beautiful, sheltered reefs situated under an hour’s boat ride from resort.
Its proximity to the legendary wreck graveyard of Sha’ab Abu Nuhas makes El Gouna a superb choice for wreck divers. During fine weather, the excellent wrecks of Abu Nuhas can be easily visited and enjoyed by El Gouna guests. There are also some fantastic wall and drift dives on offer plus the chance to dive with dolphins!
Learning to Dive
El Gouna is a superb place to learn to dive with access to many spectacular coral gardens in sheltered waters. Excellent visibility maximises opportunities to enjoy the prolific marine life. Beautiful reef fish and amazing corals abound at many sites but in El Gouna it is common to share your first Open Water dives with turtles and dolphins for a truly memorable experience.
Qualified Divers
El Gouna shares many sites with its neighbour Hurghada. Many sites boast resident bottlenose dolphins including the labyrinth of ergs that make up Gota Abu Galawa and the beautiful horseshoe-shaped reef of Sha’ab El Erg. These are spectacular corals gardens sitting in sheltered waters with plentiful reef species and everything from the smallest, colourful nudibranch to octopus.
Wreck divers are spoilt by El Gouna and its proximity to the Straits of Gubal and the spectacular Sha’ab Abu Nuhas. This incredible reef patch lies next to a major shipping lane and it is home to four complete wrecks. It is magical to swim into a cloud of glassfish on the Chrisoula K and the Giannis D and see lionfish stalking prey in dark corners of the hold. Day trips are also arranged to the Rosalie Moller.
Wall and drift diving fans will be challenged by a number of dive sites in this area including those situated near the Siyul Islands that boast stingrays, leopard sharks and a myriad of colourful reef fish. Further north, and the northernmost site in this region, is Bluff Point, which is also a favourite with safari boats. The current is especially strong and can be unpredictable but divers are rewarded with a thrilling drift dive. Rich corals abound as well as the chance to see turtles, morays and occasionally whitetip reef sharks, plus the wreck of the British freighter, the Ulysses.

Three Corners Ocean View
Excellent Hotel
"My wife, who only snorkels, had a great holiday experience too. Phil North was very helpful sorting out all our holiday needs. In resort, I was collected from the airport by the Regaldive rep, Mohamed, Gama. He was most professional and assisted us promptly to get the best from our holiday. I would happily recommend Regaldive, having had had great experiences since 2006"

The 3 Corners was Fabulous!
"We all had a fantastic time in Egypt. The 3 Corners was fabulous. Great rooms, food, position in resort and right next to the Dive Centre and marina. All the staff friendly and helpful. We will visit again!!
Pat and Gina were (as I had hoped) totally amazed with the overnight stay in Luxor that I had pre-arranged through Memphis Tours.
The diving was fabulous. 28c water temp!! I did my AOW and had a dive day pre-booked for the Monday. I was able to fit the PADI Enriched Air into this day, so now I’m all set for future dives.
Amazing time, the resort is fantastic and sunshine all day every day, not a cloud in the sky! My mother in law is now considering spending her winters in Egypt, as opposed to Fuerteventura now.
Thanks for all your help with arranging this Nigel. 3 very happy customers. "

Movenpick Hotel
Red Sea, February
"Dear Simon
You may recall that we had a one week break at the Movenpick, El Gouna in February. Just a quick email to advise that the trip from start to finish was excellent.
Your resort rep, Mark (although based in Hurghada) was attentive and always ready and able to talk via mobile when required.
As for the Diving, the dive centre team were excellent. The atmosphere was extremely friendly with all trips being fun filled while attending to all the necessary technical aspects. I would particularly like to mention Sahid (the Dive Master), Horace (always happy and smiling), Dolphin (who took us out on at least 4 occasions, in my opinion a really good instructor and guide); together with Renatta and Ahmed (Will Smith look alike). Although conditions at times on the surface were challenging arising from the strong North wind, all the crew made this for us a really excellent and enjoyable experience.
The Movenpick Hotel as you had previously stated was great. The thing that stood out throughout was the friendliness of the locals, be they Hotel or Dive boat based.
Nothing was too much trouble and all were always at pains to see that their guests had what they needed.
We enjoyed the trip so much that we are now looking at the possibility of going again.
Kind Regards
Gary Williams

Sultan Bey

"The room was amazing and the food was great; all the staff are lovely people. The boat was great and the food the boat crew prepared for lunch was mouthwatering. The sea was amazing and the boat crew helped you put on and take off your wetsuit which was very helpful especially for me. It is a great place to go if you are doing your open water course - that's what i did!

Sultan Bey
Sultan Bey and Orca Diving
"Food and service was first class. As a disabled person, the Sultan Bey was not the best choice, with lots of steps and uneven surfaces, so if you are very disabled, you would have a problem. Rooms pleasant and clean. Orca were very obliging and give free Nitrox, but it is all boat diving with long trips to dive sites. There is an hotel beach and sea swimming is possible, but beware of jet skis and motor boats (not for me!). Nice place, nice diving. Tom"

Holiday Feedback - Arena Inn
"Hi Michaela,
I wanted to let you know that we had an absolutely fantastic time in El Gouna. The hotel was great and the staff were fantastic; it didn’t matter that there were only 2 other Brits whilst we were there as we had a great time with the staff (and many of the German guests!).
As for the diving, Natasha and I found the staff at Emperor Divers so helpful, supportive and encouraging; we couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to learn to dive with. Terry was a great instructor and we really felt part of the ‘dive family’ straight away – I would highly recommend them for people who want to learn
to dive.
We are now thinking about what to do diving wise and where to go next! We will be booking with you again!
Many thanks for all the help and advice from everyone in the office which allowed me to organise this holiday in the first place.
Regards,
Ann"

Two Very Satisfied Clients!
"Just returned from our trip to El Gouna and would like to pass on our thanks for the excellent arrangements.
It started well with a free upgrade on the plane to more spacious seats. On arrival at the Sultan Bey the staff arranged dinner in our room as we were too late for normal dining times.
At Emperor we received a fantastic welcome and all the team from the bus driver to the dive guides and the dive centre staff were top quality all week. The diving highlights are too numerous to mention but were topped off with dolphins.
An amazing week and wonderful people, once again we return to the UK with a strong desire to return to El Gouna, the Sultan Bey and Emperor Divers.
Thank you very much from two very satisfied clients.
Regards
Duncan and Ruth"

Dolphins, turtles and eagle rays… what more could you ask for?
"Hello,
My wife, son and myself have just returned - a week late due to the Icelandic volcano - from a diving holiday in El Gouna Egypt.
I would like to say what a great job Regaldive did in looking after us during what must have been a very testing week. Lisa, our resort rep, was fantastic. She was extremely reassuring and kept us regularly posted with updates. We were even able to get a few extra days diving in before the planes started flying again! Our thanks go to both Lisa and Regaldive.
It's always tempting to think you can put together a holiday package yourself, however, our week in Egypt was proof that you're far better letting experts such as Regaldive look after all the arrangements. What's more, we had a great week (which turned into a couple of weeks!) diving. Dolphins, turtles and eagle rays… what more could you ask for?
Regards
Jonathan"

The very real value of travelling with a good company
"Hello,
I had a very well organised and smooth running holiday, Regaldive were terrific.
I must just ask you to especially thank Lisa, your rep in Hurghada and El Gouna, who was such a help when I was taken into hospital with gastroenteritis.
I was travelling alone, as usual, but my experience taught me the very real value of travelling with a good company. I usually travel independently, and alone, and had that been the case here it would have been a nightmare. Lisa brought me clothes (I had gone in the small hours of the night in my night clothes, with only my passport and mobile) and sorted out my insurance and payment, which was not easy with two menacing goons trying to make me pay by MasterCard on the spot!
I would tell everyone of the dangers of not using a tour company when travelling alone. I would like to tell her bosses what a great job she did and that she has now made me a committed Regaldive customer.
Please pass on my comments to anyone you feel should hear.
Very best regards
Regaldive Client"

Scubaco experience feedback from trip to Egypt March 2011
"Hi Helena,
I am happy to be able to provide you with only positive feedback regarding the recent experience with Regaldive and Emperor Divers. As you know we have been to the Movenpick on five previous occasions, and for diving have always used the Dive Tribe.
The move to Emperor was seamless.
Much praise is given to Matt and the onsite land team for their politeness and attention to customer service from start to finish.Praise must be given to 'Bruce' who did everything he could possibly do to make the diving for us and our customers, unforgettable. His humour and attention to safety detail, accompanied with experience and professionalism cannot be faulted. For us,he helped to make the experience on every site a wonder of all wonderfulness. From one PADI professional to another my thoughts are that he is truly an asset to the profession and the company to which he works. Our customers would second that.
We are always tentative when we take a group of our customers on holiday for their first time experience. We needed not to have worried. All of them want to return back to the same hotel with the same dive team. That is truly a success all round.
The Regaldive experience has been excellent. It is the main reason why we come back to you each year. All our customers are happy enough to make a repeat booking in the future, whether with us or independently. Lisa, the rep was fantastic and provided excellent customer service from start to finish. We have every praise for her negotiations with the hotel in ensuring our absolute comfort.
The experience of trying to book leg room seats is the fault of Thomas Cook and doesn't lay with you. Their website refused to acknowledge the booking reference we'd been given. What we did appreciate however was the luggage allowance, (vital for most divers), and the meal on board.
So, to conclude, it leaves me to say a BIG thank you to all those involved that helped to make the holiday memorable for all the right reasons. We look forward to encouraging more of our divers to fulfil ambitions of diving in the Red Sea in the future. It would be without hesitation that we would book our holiday with you again in the future.
With best wishes to one and all for a happy and prosperous season.
Kind regards
Carol"

Regaldive - Massive Thanks!
"Hi Michaela,
I just wanted to send a quick e-mail to say a massive thanks to your team - Nick and I both enjoyed our holiday immensely and despite booking with you very late in the day, and having flight changes, had no problems.
Lisa, the rep in El Gouna - was great - she was really friendly and offered great advice.
We will definitely consider booking with you again in the future! :)
Kind regards,
Kate"

Holiday Feedback
"Hello Regal,
We would be grateful if you would pass on our gratitude to everyone at Regaldive (El Gouna), especially Lisa for all their help and support when Joshua was ill during our stay at the Movenpick Hotel.
We really appreciated your involvement in getting in touch with the insurance company, constant calls to check on Joshua and even a hospital visit from Nikki.
Thank you very much.
Mr & Mrs Gebbie
PS Our best wishes to Lisa on her forthcoming event."
