Phil North
Manager
- Number of Dives 1,700+
- Level Divemaster
- Favourite Dive Site Hin Muang, Thailand
Phil's fascination with the underwater world began in Thailand, where he completed an Open Water course in 2002 in an attempt to overcome a fear of deep water. By 2005 he had the bug and qualified as a Divemaster before working in Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia and Egypt. Phil finally settled in Thailand, where he ran an underwater photo and video centre with his wife-to-be, capturing several photos now proudly displayed in their home. He returned to the UK in 2010 and now, as Brand Manager, relishes helping others enjoys the world's best diving destinations.
With a passion for underwater photography when the opportunity arises, Phil is a huge fan of the diving in South-east Asia, holding a particular love of Indonesia. He enjoys any dive with great, photogenic marine life, but is especially fond of a good muck dive searching for the weird and wonderful.
Since trading the ocean for the office, he has added to the list of destinations visited with holidays to Costa Rica, Belize, Tobago and a special visit to Papua New Guinea.
Cath Bates
Travel Consultant
- Number of Dives 6,000+
- Level TDI Advanced Trimix Instructor, PADI MSDT
- Favourite Dive Site Shark & Yolanda Reef, Egypt
Cath is an ex-instructor and loves to talk to clients about anything to do with the sea – be it holiday inspiration, equipment, fish, topography or technical diving. Her favourite destination is anywhere with black volcanic sand or muck, and she says you can find her hovering above a sandy bottom waiting for the appearance of any weird looking critters, which probably think the same about her!
Cath likes a leisurely bimble underwater with her camera anywhere off the beaten track. She is a fan of large underwater surprises such as sharks and mantas in their natural environment. She enjoys meeting like-minded divers and is a real foodie. Her recommendation when travelling is to always befriend the waiting staff/crew and chef for local culinary delights!
Whilst Cath is an avid muck diver, she spent 11 years in Sharm el Sheikh as a technical diver and says the canyons, walls and soft fluffy corals of the Ras Mohamed National Park will always be her home.

Anna Williams
Travel Consultant
- Number of Dives 2,000+

Swapping out the Caribbean for the Pacific Ocean in 2015 she taught diving to aspiring Marine Biologists at the local college in the Marshall Islands for two years before heading for an extended stretch to North Sulawesi in Indonesia to manage a dive centre. During her time here, she snuck away on several busman’s holidays to discover the astounding underwater world of neighbouring Lembeh, Bangka, Raja Ampat, Nusa Lembongan and Ambon.
Reluctantly returning to the UK during the pandemic, she continued to instruct for PADI, SSI and BSAC before joining Regal Dive where she remains particularly passionate about helping beginner divers thrive and discover new destinations in which to stretch their abilities.
Georgia Randalls
Travel Consultant
- Number of Dives 400+
- Level PADI Instructor
- Favourite Dive Site Melissa's Garden, Raja Ampat, Indonesia
Georgia learnt to dive in Australia in 2010, where she quickly gained a passion for diving. She hasn’t stopped since! She continued to qualify as an instructor and worked in Australia. She has been fortunate enough to travel to some beautiful dive destination across the world. She always tries to squeeze some time in the ocean wherever she can. Her diving highlights include diving around the remote island of St Helena, where the whale sharks remain undisturbed, making them wonderfully curious. Equally as unforgettable have been her dives in Raja Ampat, pristine reefs with endless sea life and some amazing pygmy sea horse species made for some special diving.
Not forgetting diving with Manta Rays in Australia, exploring the wrecks of the Caribbean and being surrounded by vast number of sharks in Aliwal Shoal.
Her bucket list is always growing, and she looks forward to diving in more places in the future!
Joanna Charter
Product Manager
- Number of Dives 800+
- Level PADI MSDT
- Favourite Dive Site Dreamgate Cenote, Mexico
Growing up surrounded by divers, Joanna was introduced to diving during her teens and was immediately hooked. She has been fortunate enough to travel regularly as soon as she was qualified, which exposed her to many aspects of the diving industry around the world. After graduating, she saved up to pursue her love of diving and spent time in Bali on a Dive Master internship and then became an instructor. When she returned to the UK, she continued to work as an instructor in the slightly murky waters.
Joanna now works for Regaldive as a Product Manager after several years in the Sales Team. Her diving highlights include dawn dives on the USAT Liberty wreck in Bali surrounded by bumphead parrot fish, and exciting RIB dives from the west coast of Ireland among the kelp and rock fissures. Having recently taken up underwater photography, she enjoys a chilled house reef where time is infinite including places such as the Philippines, Indonesia, and the Maldives.
Shem Tarko
Product Executive
- Number of Dives 1,500+
- Level PADI & TDI Instructor & CCR Advanced Mixed Gas Diver
- Favourite Dive Site Numidia Wreck, Big Brother, Red Sea
Shem’s fascination with the underwater world began in childhood, sparked by a gift from his grandfather - a pair of vintage WWII frogman fins and a diving mask. That early spark led him to dive into the chilly waters of the Baltic Sea, where he first honed his diving skills.
With a background in Travel and Tourism Management, Shem has spent the last two decades immersed in the scuba diving industry. He’s taught students, guided memorable dive trips, and participated in a range of exciting marine expeditions.
Today, as a Product Executive, Shem plays a key role in crafting dive adventures. Off the clock, he’s often exploring shipwrecks off the UK’s scenic south coast. His dream dives include iconic spots such as Truk Lagoon, the Galapagos, Cocos Island, and Bikini Atoll - anywhere rich in history, sharks, or dramatic underwater wrecks.
