Whale shark in Richelieu Rock, ThailandBeach on Similan Islands, Thailand

The schedule you do on the boat varies with the currents and the tides. The boat tour leader and captain will do the best option for guests.

Arrival:Transfer to Tap Lamu pier from the airport or your accommodation. Join the liveaboard and depart around 21.00 for overnight sail to the Similan Islands National Park.

Day 1: Wake up to the incredible landscape of the Similan islands with huge granite boulders, white sand beaches and warm tropical waters. Enjoy 3 day dives and 1 night dive around the Similan islands today. The seascape is as dramatic as the topside - sites on the western side littered with granite boulders creating swim-throughs channels, and on the eastern side of islands, colourful sloping reefs. Expect an incredible canvas of marine life at any site with regular sightings of critters, Hawksbill Turtles, Eagle Rays, Stingrays, Garden Eels, Grouper, Barracuda and several species of shark.

Day 2: Continue with 2 dives around the Similan Islands this morning before moveing to Koh Bon for an afternoon dive and Koh Tachai for a night dive. Part of the Koh Bon site is a Manta Ray cleaning station with reliable sightings. Koh Tachai is full of colourful soft corals and marine life.

Day 3: Spend a full day diving at Richelieu Rock, a signature dive site of the Andaman Sea. Your dive itinerary includes 3 day dives here. Keep an eye out for passing Whale Sharks if you can tear yourself away from all the marine life found on the reef! Great for photographers. A second night dive at Koh Tachai is scheduled for today.

Day 4: Today is your last one of diving and the chance to see the glorious colours of Koh Tachai in the morning, followed by a further dive at Koh Bon for Manta Ray encounters and a final dive on the Boonsung wreck (think fishtastic!) before heading back to Tap Lamu pier. Disembark your liveaboard around 17.00.

The Similan Islands itinerary departs Tap Lamu on a Sunday night, returning late Thursday afternoon throughout the season from November to late April. It is possible to extend your stay in resort or join the shorter 2 night itinerary which departs on Friday morning. It is recommended that divers are Advanced qualified and must have 10 logged dives to join this trip.
