Day-to-day itinerary

  • Day 1

    Depart for Malta

This great value dive destination is only three hours from the UK. On arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to your accommodation in St Paul’s Bay.

This coastal community is in the north of the island of Malta. It’s a great base from which to explore the best dive sites in Malta, and the location of our partner dive centre, Maltaqua.

Enjoy seven nights in the comfortable and conveniently located Sands Apartments, with one bedroom, two bedroom and even three bedroom apartments available – great for groups!

Those preferring a hotel stay can upgrade to the Doubletree Malta hotel.

  • Days 2-6

Explore the best of Malta’s diving

Enjoy a five day, ten dive package to discover the best dive sites around the island. Many of the dive sites are shore-accessible, making Malta particularly convenient for independent or budget-conscious divers.

Among the highlights are the wrecks of the Um El Faroud, a former Libyan oil tanker that was scuttled in 1998, and the P29, a patrol boat sunk in 2007. Both lie within recreational diving limits and are now thriving artificial reefs. Malta’s underwater topography includes swim-throughs, chimneys, and arches, especially around sites such as the Blue Grotto and Ċirkewwa.

  • Day 7

    Explore Malta

Today is at leisure to explore Malta above ground.

The island has been shaped by millennia of civilisation, and its compact size makes it easy to take in several key attractions in a single day. Valletta, the UNESCO-listed capital, is a highlight, offering grand Baroque architecture, historic fortifications, and cultural landmarks such as St John’s Co-Cathedral and the Grandmaster’s Palace. Nearby, the atmospheric streets of Mdina—the “Silent City”—provide a glimpse into medieval Malta, with its narrow lanes and impressive city walls offering sweeping views of the countryside.

Alternatively, a more relaxed day might include a stroll along the Sliema seafront promenade, a harbour cruise around the Grand Harbour, or a visit to the charming fishing village of Marsaxlokk, known for its colourful boats and excellent seafood.

  • Day 8

    Transfer to Gozo

A short road and ferry transfer north brings you to the charming island of Gozo. The pace of life is a little slower here. The island is known for its rolling countryside, traditional villages, dramatic coastal cliffs and more great diving.

Spend three nights here diving and relaxing. Your accommodation is the Gozo Dive Residences, premier self-catering apartments a short stroll away from the popular Xlendi Bay.

  • Days 9-10

    Dive Gozo

Gozo has around 50 dive sites to explore, including arches, runnels and caves. There are options for both experienced and beginner divers here with our partner dive centre St Andrews.

Over the next two days, enjoy a further six guided dives to explore the area.

  • Day 11

    Depart for home

Return from Gozo to Malta today by road and ferry, and take a short flight back to the UK, the end of your Maltese dive adventure!
