Liveaboard Information
Dive Information
Regaldive offer a range of Red Sea liveaboards, with itineraries giving you a wide variety of diving options, depending on your area of interest and your level of experience. If you are travelling as a large group, you can even decide to pre-book a week of wrecks or favourite reef dives, according to your group preferences.
Northern Red Sea Liveaboards
Regaldive offer itineraries departing from Hurghada. The reef at Abu Nuhas is accessible from Hurghada with several wrecks resting at its base. You can also visit the Straits of Gubal and the famous Thistlegorm World War II wreck. Some boat itineraries may also take in the Ras Mohammed national park where steep coastal cliffs are mirrored underwater with impressive vertical walls, which drop off 70m or more.
The Strait of Tiran has a range of reefs rising out of deep waters where the strong currents and dense plankton attract an impressive range of reef and deep-sea species providing some exceptional drift dives. The Thistlegorm also features on this trip.
For those that want the liveaboard experience from a resort, our Sharm Dive Extravaganza allows you to join a small group of like-minded divers whilst exploring the best diving Sharm El Sheikh has to offer.
Southern Red Sea Liveaboards
There are many world-class dive sites in the southern Red Sea, and Regaldive offer several itineraries. Fury Shoal is an area where many reefs lie close to each other, some are exposed and some sheltered, many with dramatic sheer walls plunging to over 40m. There are canyons, multiple caves and passages where groupers and morays lurk. The variety of coral is stunning with beautiful brain and fire corals. Schools of fusiliers and anchovies hover above the reefs until suddenly attacked by fast moving tuna whilst Napoleon wrasse cruise majestically by.
The Brothers are two small isolated reefs 33 miles north east of El Quseir. Big Brother Island has a lighthouse and a fringing reef with a sheer plunge to exceptional depths. The diving is challenging with deep wrecks and strong currents. Tuna, barracuda, scalloped hammerhead, oceanic white tips, silkies and reef shark can all be spotted here.
Little Brother is reputed to be one of the most scenic dives in the Red Sea. The drop off is over 40m but the walls are covered in sponges, anemones, soft corals and black coral. Some of the huge gorgonian fan corals are more than 3m high. There are caves, holes and overhangs in the shallow part of the reef. Currents can be very strong and because there is little shelter and strong winds, access is very much weather dependent.
Elphinstone is a site best dived early in the day and there is little protection against wind and waves, making a liveaboard visit ideal. There are plateaux at either end, from 25-40m, but the steep walls drop off to more than 100m. It is an ideal site to experience the larger pelagic marine life including manta, hammerheads and oceanic whitetips. The soft corals and gorgonians are luxuriant and colourful.

Client Reviews for M/Y Emperor Elite
Great boat, very good
Great boat, very good briefings, good kit, professional guiding and a pastry chef.
Fantastic liveaboard holiday | Thanks to Regaldive!
Thanks to Regaldive for booking our fantastic Liveaboard holiday in the Red Sea (South & St. John's (Marsa Ghalib Port/Marsa Ghalib Port). Everything ran smoothly from beginning to end. Following a good flight we were meet by the Regaldive Rep in Hurghada who made sure we were okey and put us on the transfer bus. We arrived to a warm welcome by Emperor Elite, followed by a fabulous week of diving, food and lovely company. All the staff on board were fantastic. We will definitely be booking again.
Best Diving Holiday Ever!
Firstly I would like to start with a massive thank you to you all for the best diving holiday ever! I thoroughly enjoyed every single minute of my trip on the Emperor Elite last week. From the diving through to the food finishing with the boat, it was all amazing! I can't say a big enough thank you to the crew - Alaa, Mustafa, Hassan, Mohamed, Ibrahin, Alaa, Ahmed, Yasser, Saeed, dive guides - Ahmed & Momo and the Captain - Mahmond Hassan for making it a pleasure to dive each and everyday - they made the week run so smoothly - from the start they made it feel like home. It was my first time in Egypt and my first time on a liveaboard and I won't be hesitating to come back next year for another week on the Elite! Everyone should try it! After the diving experience I have had I would be very interested in completing my DM course in Egypt with you. Once again thank you!
The Diving was Excellent!
A quick report back from our trip. All was smooth on the transfer and the diving was excellent. The boat was good (as we'd expected). Comfortable, nice food and a great crew and guides. Things were probably helped by it not being a full boat, and having fabulous weather, but a particular thumbs up for Sonia who was lovely - enthusiastic, knowledgeable and really friendly.
Fantastic Week on Board the Elite - South and St Johns
Just back from a fantastic week on board the Elite, the crew, staff, and guests where all very friendly and welcoming. There was a good mix of ages and nationalities and we all seemed to gel, well mostly LOL. The food on board was delicious and lots of it. Nothing was too much trouble for these guys on board. The diving was fabulous with a good variety of dive sites, the dive crew were faultless, the dive guides were very knowledgeable and very helpful. Sergio was an ace at finding nudibranches and micro stuff and his enthusiasm was excellent. Many thanks to Explorer and Regaldive for a faultless holiday. If i was to fault anything then that would be it was over too quickly! Would highly recommend this boat and cant wait to do it again very soon.
Two Seriously Satisfied Divers!
Everything was BEAUTIFUL!!! I wanna go back ASAP! I have to make a special mention to the crew on the Emperor Elite. The boat was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The crews are true professionals. They are on call 24/7 for eight weeks straight. They sleep where they can and are watching our every move to make sure we have whatever we want or need at ANY time. The dive guides have to be able to cope with any style of divers that come on board. It's such an organised routine from start to finish. Ahmed Ibrahim is exceptional at his job as a dive guide. I am very grateful for their compassion and attention to detail.
Emperor elite
Just returned from a week aboard this liveaboard and what a fantastic time was had. All the staff work incredibly hard and the two dive guides (Julian & Khalil) are fantastic at their jobs. The food on board was of a very good standard with plenty of choice to suit most people.
South and St. John's tour
Wow just been to Egypt aboard the M/Y Emperor Elite! Had a fantastic week aboard this liveaboard, the crew couldn't do enough for you. The guides were excellent, the food was brill, and the diving was absolutely amazing. I went to the South and St. John's and met some wonderful people as well. Ahmed, Lara, and Khalil were excellent at guiding us around and sorting problems out when they occurred. My hose blew when I was down 26m and Ahmed quickly turned my tank off and give me his spare reg. When back on the boat, he quickly changed my hose to a spare one so I could carry on diving for the rest of the week. There are no complaints apart from me having to return home haha - I wish I could have stayed. Also booking through Regaldive was brill as they were excellent and give you all the information before hand. The whole booking process to the end of holiday was smooth and excellent. I will definitely be booking again for another liveaboard, hopefully sooner rather than later, I will have to start saving up!
