Diving Itinerary

The Maldives has so much to offer for scuba divers, with options for liveaboard diving and resort-based stays. This itinerary allows you to get the best of both worlds, with an exciting Maldivian liveaboard adventure followed by a relaxing resort-based stay.

Spend seven nights cruising the atolls and islands of the Maldives on your own floating dive hotel, taking in some of the Maldives’ finest dive sites as you go. Then disembark and spend a final three nights in the resort of your choice to relax, take in some sunshine, or enjoy more diving. The choice is yours.

Day-to-day itinerary

Day 1

Depart for the Maldives
Day 2

Arrive and begin your liveaboard adventure

On arrival to Malé, the Maldives capital, join your chosen liveaboard, settle in to your new surroundings, and meet your fellow guests. The rest of today is yours at leisure to recover from your journey.
Day 3

Begin your liveaboard diving

Your diving begins today, starting with a check dive to make sure your gear and diving skills are all ship shape. Some dive sites in the Maldives have strong currents, so even experienced divers will want to ensure everything is set up just right before taking on some of the Maldives more exciting sites.

A typical liveaboard itinerary will begin in the South Malé Atoll, before heading west to the Ari Atolls.
Days 4-7

Dive and explore!

Continue your liveaboard adventure, completing three dives a day as you take in some of the Maldives finest dive sites. Look out in the blue for manta rays, eagle rays and whale sharks, with plenty of action to enjoy on the reefs as well.

During the course of the week, you’ll have opportunity to enjoy at least one night dive as well.
Day 8

Your final days’ diving

Typically, two morning dives are offered this morning, before heading back to port in Malé and spending the final night in dock, ready for departure tomorrow morning.
Day 9

Disembark, but don’t go home!

After breakfast this morning, it is time to disembark. While your fellow liveaboard guests head to the airport and home, you’ll hook up with a representative of your chosen Maldives resort and begin a three night stay (or more) in paradise!

Regaldive work with a range of resorts in the Maldives catering for a range of budgets and preferences, For a shorter stay, we’d recommend a resort that can be easily reached by speedboat.
Days 10-11

Dive, or relax

Your time in resort is left free to pursue your own interests. Sun worshippers can catch some rays, others may simply like to swing in a hammock with a great book, while others may wish to fit in a few more dives during their Maldives holiday.
Day 12

Depart the Maldives

It’s time to check out and depart today, returning to Malé by speedboat. Depending on your flight schedule, you’ll either arrive back to the UK later this evening, or tomorrow morning, full of wonderful memories!
