Diving Itinerary

Sometimes, bigger is not better. We think the mini can be equally mighty. Our new Sharm Mini Dive Safaris are a perfect example. 

Starting from the Sharks Bay Umbi Diving Village in Sharm el Sheikh, 3 night adventures offer at least 8 dives, while 4 night itineraries offer at least 11 dives. One night dive usually offered on all itineraries, conditions allowing.

Both itinerary variants allow divers to enjoy diving at Ras Mohammed Marine Park, the Tiran Strait and also the wreck of the Dunraven. Highlights in the Tiran Strait include Woodhouse Reef, which is perfect for a drift dive along the sheltered eastern side; Thomas Reef, the smallest of the four Tiran reefs but probably the most interesting and richest in marine life; Gordon Reef, which gently slopes to the south and forms a large plateau and Jackson Reef.

Occasional itineraries offer different options, including the Thistlegorm wreck or diving around Dahab.

Price per person includes:

  • Twin-share liveaboard accommodation
  • Airport meet and transfers
  • Full board meal plan
  • Full diving itinerary, including one night dive
  • All diving permits

Our Sharm Mini Safaris require a minimum of only 8 persons to run, with itineraries offered between March and the end of December.  

Liveaboard diving is from Freedom VIII, accommodating a maximum of 11 divers, or the Freedom III liveaboard, accommodating up to 20 divers. Liveaboard itineraries feature up to 3 dives a day including 1 night dive in your itinerary (conditions allowing) and a full board meal plan along with snacks, water, soft drinks, tea and coffee. 

Those looking for a longer break can extend their stay with time at the Sharks Bay Umbi Diving Village Resort. 

The above represents a sample itinerary only, and your actual itinerary will vary depending on your flight schedule and your liveaboard departure date. You must be AOW with 30 dives or more to join a mini safari, but no prior liveaboard experience is necessary. 

Please note: Alcohol is not stocked on board as standard. Beer and wine can be provided, but requests must be made in advance.
