The itinerary focuses on the Saba Marine Park, otherwise known as the ‘unspoiled queen’.
A dormant volcano, the island’s jagged topography above the sea is mirrored below in dramatic sites. Divers will also discover the island of St Kitt’s intriguing Southern shores. Venture along finger reefs, vibrant wrecks, and unique coral labyrinths that will capture your imagination.

Itinerary options
There are two versions of this Northeast Caribbean itinerary, offered on alternating weeks. Departures starting in St Kitts head north, finishing on the island of St Maarten. Departures from St Maarten will repeat the route in reverse, finishing back in St Kitts.
Both itinerary variants include five and a half days of diving, two or three days within the Saba Marine Park, and two or three days at St. Kitts. Up to five dives daily are normally offered, including night dives. The schedule also provides for up to three optional island tours during the week at a small extra charge, there is ample time to explore forts, rainforests and museums.
The volcanic island of Saba, rising dramatically from the Caribbean Sea, is a haven for marine life. Protected by the Saba Marine Park since 1987, its pristine waters teem with exotic creatures.
Diving highlights
To dive Saba is to explore a world of towering pinnacles, dramatic drop-offs, and vibrant coral gardens. Encounter graceful nurse sharks, elusive seahorses, and majestic eagle rays as you descend into the depths. Top dive sites include the exhilarating Diamond Rock, the mysterious Ladder Labyrinth, and the awe-inspiring Third Encounter, often referred to as The Needle or Eye of the Beholder.
While Saba offers unparalleled underwater adventures, nearby St. Kitts also boasts excellent diving. Immerse yourself in a diverse ecosystem featuring finger reefs, captivating wrecks, and colourful coral labyrinths. The iconic River Taw wreck is an itinerary favourite, with vibrant coral growth and excellent macro life. Keep your camera ready to capture the elusive frogfish or the delicate seahorse.

Saba Shore Excursion

Explore the island's natural beauty, learn about its sugar cane heritage, and gain insight into its fascinating past.
St. Maarten Shore Excursion
Experience the best of both worlds on this dynamic St. Maarten tour. Discover the island's dual personalities with a blend of European sophistication and Caribbean charm. Explore the Dutch and French sides, indulging in shopping, dining, and beach relaxation. This tour is perfect for those arriving early or departing late from St Maarten.
Due to the flights time to and from the UK on BA, clients may only join the liveaboard on the weeks it departs from St. Kitts. Departures that coincide with St. Maarten dates may be possible if reserving extra nights by flying in on a different day.
The Caribbean Explorer II departs Saturdays from either St. Kitts or St. Maarten, departing alternate weeks. If you choose a charter which begins in St. Maarten, the charter will end in St. Kitts and you will fly home from there. If you choose a charter that begins in St. Kitts, the charter will end in St. Maarten.
Itineraries include 5½ days of diving, 2 to 3 days within the Saba Marine Park, and 2 to 3 days at St. Kitts. 5 dives daily are normally offered, including night dives. The schedule also provides for up to 3 island tours during the week at a small extra charge, there is ample time to explore forts, rainforests and museums.

18.30: Dinner (snacks or dinner available for those arriving on later flights)
20.00: Captain's Briefing, documents, etc. Night spent at dock.
Sunday - Tuesday: St. Kitts
5 dives daily. Optional island tour on Monday. Night crossing to Saba (2 hours).
Wednesday - Thursday: Saba
5 dives daily. Optional island tour on Thursday. Nights spent at mooring.
Friday: Saba - St. Maarten
2 dives at Saba before lunch. Early afternoon crossing to St. Maarten. Afternoon at leisure and dinner ashore, with night spent aboard vessel at dock.
Saturday: St. Maarten
07.00 - 08.30: Continental breakfast
09.00: Guests depart the vessel. Due to the necessity of readying the vessel for its next cruise, this departure time is strictly enforced.
You may leave your luggage aboard or on the dock alongside until your flight.
St. Maarten Departures
Saturday: St. Maarten
15.00: Guests board
18.30: Dinner (snacks or dinner available for those arriving on later flights)
20.00: Captain's Briefing, documents, etc.
22.00: Depart for Saba (2 1/2 hours; departure may be delayed for late arrivals)
Sunday - Tuesday:
Saba 5 dives daily. Optional island tour on Monday. Night crossing to St. Kitts (2½ hours).
Wednesday - Thursday:
St. Kitts, 5 dives. Night at mooring.
Friday:
St. Kitts, 2 dives and lunch. Return to Port Zante. Afternoon island tour and dinner ashore, with night spent aboard vessel at dock.
Saturday: St. Kitts
07.00.- 08.30: Continental breakfast
